Oklahoma requires Form 0075, the Change or Designation of Registered Agent form, to swap your registered agent. The Secretary of State charges a flat $25, no matter which way you file.

The same filing can also update your registered office or your LLC's principal office. The Quick Facts table below has the exact statute and mailing address.

This guide walks through what the form asks for. It covers how each filing channel works, and who Oklahoma will let you name as your registered agent.

Quick Summary

  • Combine a registered office or principal office update with your agent change on Form 0075. One filing saves you a second trip.
  • Don't rely on your Annual Certificate to update your agent. It only refreshes your principal address.
  • Tracking down a compliant Oklahoma street address can be a hassle. A professional registered agent service already keeps one on file.

How to Change Your Oklahoma Registered Agent

Oklahoma's Form 0075 covers three separate changes on one page. Use it to swap agents, move your registered office, or move where the LLC does business.

File it with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. Title 18, Section 2010(B) of Oklahoma's LLC Act governs the filing [1]. A manager of the LLC has to sign it.

Oklahoma law gives you three choices for a registered agent. It can be your LLC itself, an Oklahoma resident, or a domestic or qualified foreign corporation, LLC, or limited partnership. Whoever you pick needs a real street address in the state. A P.O. box does not qualify, since the agent has to be reachable there for service of process.

Your LLC also files a separate $25 Annual Certificate every year, under 18 O.S. § 2055.2, on its registration anniversary date [2]. That filing only asks for your principal address, an active-status check, and a contact email. It carries no registered agent field.

Filing it will not update your agent, even if everything else on your account is current. Here is how each Form 0075 filing method works.

1. Using a Professional Registered Agent Service

A registered agent service can prepare and submit Form 0075 for you. Most already have a compliant Oklahoma address on file, which matters if your LLC is based outside the state.

You still pay the state's $25 filing fee on top of whatever the service charges for its own work. Compare a few options before you commit.

2. Filing Online Through the SOS Portal

Oklahoma's Online Business Filing System accepts Form 0075 electronically. Register your name and email with the portal first. Then follow the prompts to submit the change and pay the $25 fee.

The Secretary of State does not publish a fixed processing time for this filing. Treat any exact day count you see elsewhere as unconfirmed. Check your entity record afterward to confirm the change went through.

3. Filing by Mail or In Person

Download the form and fill in your LLC's name and its new registered agent or office details. A manager has to sign it.

Mail the form, or bring it in person, along with the $25 filing fee. The address is 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., Room 101, State Capitol, Oklahoma City, OK 73105-4897.

That's a distinct address from the one your Annual Certificate mails to. Double-check you are sending each filing to the right office before you seal the envelope.
