We formed an LLC with Bizee on June 6, 2026. The company was Road Logistics LLC in Kentucky. We paid $40 total, and all of it went to the Kentucky state filing fee. Bizee's Basic plan charged us $0 for formation.

Bizee, formerly Incfile, is the cheapest way to form an LLC when your only goal is doing it for as little money as possible upfront. The $0 Basic plan is a genuine free formation because you only pay the state fee.

The tradeoff comes in three parts: checkout runs longer than at competitors, the registered agent is actually a third-party provider and the free services need manual activation after you log in.

Below, we walk through the 10 decision points before payment. We also cover the dashboard, the contract templates, the compliance screen and the post-payment upsell that reappears after checkout.

Quick Summary

Bizee earns a 3.9/5 overall in our hands-on test. Price is the standout. We formed Road Logistics LLC for $40 total, with $0 going to Bizee for formation.

CategoryRatingWhy it scored this way
Price5.0$0 formation on Basic is the cheapest entry point we found. Only state fees apply.
Ease of Use3.5Individual screens are clean, but 10 decision screens before payment require attention.
Features4.0The dashboard includes compliance tracking, contract templates, and partner services, though some are referrals.
Turnaround3.5Kentucky standard processing showed 3 weeks. Expedited 1 business day was available for $50.
Support3.5Phone support is listed Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM CST. We did not receive proactive personal outreach after purchase.
User Ratings4.0Trustpilot is 4.7/5 from 25,497 reviews; BBB is 3.26/5 from 34 customer reviews. No stable Google Business Profile rating/review count was available for Bizee's formation-service business.

Best for: founders who want the lowest upfront cost and can handle a detailed checkout.

Skip if: you want one clear fee, privacy by default or a registered agent the company itself operates. Northwest is better for all three.

Pros
  • You only pay the state fee upfront.
  • First-year registered agent service is included.
  • You see the clear total cost before payment.
  • Useful compliance tracking, templates and partner tools.
Cons
  • Checkout takes attention because several decision screens and manual activations come before the full setup is done.

What You Pay: The Three Plans

Bizee has three LLC formation plans. Basic is the main budget option because it is genuinely $0 plus the state fee.

PlanPriceWhat's included
Basic$0 + state feeLLC filing, registered agent year 1 free, virtual address month 1 free, lifetime compliance alerts, dashboard access, domain and email year 1 free, business banking offer, free tax consultation
Standard$199/year + state feeEverything in Basic plus EIN, operating agreement, ready-to-use business contracts, domain and email, free first-year business phone, unlimited phone and email support
Premium$299/year + state feeEverything in Standard plus expedited filing and S-Corp election filing

Basic is the only true $0 formation. Standard and Premium are annual subscriptions. Basic add-ons can be purchased individually or skipped.

Add-onPrice
Expedited filing$50
Virtual address after month 1$29/month
Premium Bundle$99
EIN standalone$70
Operating Agreement standalone$99
Business License Research$99
FedEx physical document delivery$25
S-Corp Election Filing$50

The $99 Premium Bundle is the best add-on deal if you need EIN, Operating Agreement, Banking Resolution and 25+ contracts. EIN plus Operating Agreement alone would cost $169 separately.

The Formation Process: Every Screen Documented

Bizee's checkout has more decision points than any other formation service we have tested. There are 10 screens before payment.

Screen 1: Choose your filing speed

Standard processing showed 3 weeks in Kentucky. Expedited filing cost $50 and moved the estimated formation date from July 8 to June 8. Bizee still submits to the state the next business day. The 3 weeks are state processing time.

Screen 2: Virtual Address

Bizee offered a Kentucky business address. The first month is free, then $29/month. It keeps your address off public records and includes mail scanning, but cancellation may require a state amendment, and scanning needs USPS Form 1583 verification.

Screen 3: The Premium Bundle ($99)

This was the most useful paid decision screen. For $99, Bizee bundles EIN, Operating Agreement, Banking Resolution and a 25+ contract library. If you are a US citizen and only need an EIN, skip the $70 standalone EIN because IRS.gov provides one free in minutes. For non-US residents, EIN help may be worth more.

Screen 4: Registered Agent

Bizee includes the first year of registered agent service free. The checkout says the agent receives legal documents, protects your home address, scans documents and is available during business hours. After payment, the provider shown was Republic Registered Agent LLC, not Bizee itself.

Screen 5: EIN standalone

If you skip the bundle, Bizee presents the EIN again for $70. The explanation is accurate because an EIN is used for banking, payroll and federal taxes. For most US founders, this is still unnecessary because the IRS issues EINs free.

Screen 6: Business Banking

Bizee then presents Relay business banking. This is a free referral, not a paid upsell. The screen lists no fees or minimums, up to 20 checking accounts, up to 50 Visa debit cards and FDIC insurance.

Screen 7: Document delivery

Electronic delivery is the sensible default. You get free dashboard access once documents are ready. FedEx Express costs $25 for physical copies.

Screen 8: Free Tax Consultation

This one is worth taking. Bizee offers a free tax strategy consultation covering LLC taxation, IRS elections, missed deductions, bookkeeping, audit risk and self-employment taxes.

Screen 9: Business License Research

Bizee said it identified 2 licenses for our Kentucky business and offered specialist research for $99. This can help regulated industries, but simple consulting or freelance businesses can often research requirements themselves.

Screen 10: Final order review

Before payment, Bizee showed company name, state, contact details, member information, registered agent and price breakdown. Every section had an edit button.

After payment: confirmation and the post-payment upsell

After we paid, the confirmation page said the order would be submitted to the state tomorrow after review. The email showed LLC Basic Package $0, Kentucky state fee $40, registered agent free, electronic delivery yes, domain and business email free for year 1, total $40.

Once we logged into the dashboard, the expedited filing offer appeared again with an "ADD EXPEDITED FILING - $50" button.

The Registered Agent: What You're Actually Getting

Bizee's registered agent service is one of the most important details to understand. The first year is free. From year two, Bizee lists registered agent renewal at $119/year.

What checkout did not make obvious is that our registered agent provider was Republic Registered Agent LLC at 271 W. Short St, Ste 410, Lexington, KY 40507. That is a third-party company, not Bizee itself.

The internal order details reveal the actual registered agent provider, Republic Registered Agent LLC.

This is not a problem by itself, but it is a meaningful difference from Northwest, which acts as its own registered agent. If mail handling becomes an issue, you are dealing with a third-party provider through Bizee's platform.

The Dashboard: What You Get After Formation

Compliance tracking

Our dashboard showed "Compliance Up to Date" and "Good Standing." It also showed three unclaimed services. These are website builder, domain and email, and business insurance. They do not activate automatically.

One Kentucky detail surprised us. The Annual Report was due June 30, 2026, only 24 days after formation. The total fee shown was $154. That is Kentucky's schedule, not Bizee's fault.

Business contract templates

Bizee provides five dashboard templates. These are Operating Agreement, Non-Compete, NDA, Independent Contractor Agreement and Employment Agreement. The screen says they are not customized and recommends attorney review for serious use.

State and IRS filings

The State and IRS Filings section covers amendments, annual reports, federal filings and related tasks. Bizee can handle filings, or you can track due dates and file yourself.

Partner services

Virtual mailbox and financial services

Bizee and Tailor Brands Lite tie on year-one formation cost at $0 plus state fee if you do not add registered agent service at Tailor Brands. From year two, Bizee's $119/year registered agent renewal is a bit cheaper than Northwest's $125/year and cheaper than Tailor Brands' $199/year. Northwest beats Bizee on privacy and direct registered agent service.

Third-Party Ratings

PlatformCurrent rating checked June 10, 2026Notes
Trustpilot4.7/5 from 25,497 reviewsStrong volume and recent positive support reviews.
BBB customer reviews3.26/5 from 34 reviewsMuch smaller sample and not BBB accredited. Recent complaints focus on transparency and filing issues.
Google Search / Google Maps searchNo stable Bizee formation-service rating foundGoogle search did not expose a Bizee Business Profile rating/review count. Google Maps surfaced a similarly named BizEE Technologies Private Limited profile in India, which is a different business and was excluded.

The gap matters. Trustpilot has far more reviews and is strongly positive. BBB has a smaller sample, but its lower score matches the main risk we saw, which is that users may feel boxed in after payment. We did not use a Google score because Google did not expose a stable, matching Business Profile for Bizee's formation-service business.

Who Should Use Bizee, and Who Shouldn't

Use Bizee if paying zero upfront is the priority, you are comfortable with a longer checkout, you want the $99 bundle, you are a non-US resident who wants guided help, or you like having Fiverr, Xero, Relay and Coverdash in one dashboard.

Skip Bizee if privacy is important, you want direct registered agent service, you expect proactive personal help, you want a short checkout, or you want a fuller platform with AI tools and a larger legal library.

FAQs

Is Bizee's Basic Plan Really Free?

Yes, Bizee's Basic plan is really free in the sense that Bizee charged us $0 for formation. We paid $40 total for Road Logistics LLC, and that entire amount was the Kentucky state filing fee.

What Upsells Will I See During Checkout?

The upsells you will see during checkout include filing speed, virtual address, Premium Bundle, EIN, banking, document delivery, tax consultation, and business license research. We counted 10 decision screens before payment, plus another expedited filing offer after payment.

Who Actually Provides Bizee's Registered Agent Service?

Bizee's registered agent service was provided by Republic Registered Agent LLC in our Kentucky order. The dashboard listed 271 W. Short St, Ste 410, Lexington, KY 40507, so the registered agent was a third-party provider.

What Happens After I Pay?

After you pay, your order goes to Bizee's formation team. Our confirmation said Bizee would submit to the state the next business day, while Kentucky standard processing still showed an estimated 3-week timeline.

Are the Contract Templates Actually Useful?

The contract templates are actually useful as starting points, not finished legal documents. Bizee's own screen says the templates are not customized and recommends attorney review before relying on them for serious use.

What Does Year Two Cost?

Year two costs at least $119 if you keep Bizee's registered agent service. The virtual address costs $29 per month, or $348 per year. Confirm domain and email renewal pricing before year one ends.

Can I Cancel If I Change My Mind?

Yes, you can cancel if you change your mind, but the state filing fee is non-refundable once submitted. For registered agent renewal, cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next annual charge.

Our Verdict

Bizee delivers on its core promise of $0 to form your LLC. For founders focused on the lowest upfront cost, that is hard to beat. The dashboard works well, compliance tracking is clear, and integrations like Fiverr, Xero, Relay and Coverdash add real utility.

Go in eyes open about the 10 decision screens, the third-party registered agent provider and the free services that do not activate automatically.

ZenBusiness is still the stronger recommendation for most founders because checkout is cleaner, help is stronger, and the long-term experience is more polished. Bizee makes sense if you want to minimize year-one cost and manage setup yourself.
