1. Basic Plan Comparison: Bizee Silver vs BizFilings Basic

  • Bizee's Silver ($0 + state fees): The plan includes preparing and filing the Articles of Organization, unlimited name searches, free registered agent service for one year, and unlimited phone and email support.
  • BizFilings' Basic ($99 + state fees): The package includes business creation fundamentals, business entity name verification, and drafting of the necessary paperwork. You also get the BizComply tool provides 24-hour business monitoring. A client of mine learned that the plan included free registered agent service for a period of 3 months.

2. Mid-Level Plan Comparison: BIzee Gold vs BizFilings Standard

  • Bizee's Gold ($199 + state fees): When we availed of the plan, we were offered everything in the Silver package plus operating agreement, IRS Form 2553, EIN filing, banking resolution, lifetime company alerts, online access dashboard, business banking account, tax consultation.
  • BizFilings' Standard ($229 + state fees): It includes all features in the basic plan plus expedited shipping, LLC kit seal, operating agreement template, and 3 months of statutory agent service. 

3. Top-Level Plan Comparison: Bizee Platinum vs BizFilings Complete

  • Bizee's Platinum ($299 + state fees): The plan includes all the services in the Gold Package, plus business contract templates, a domain name, a business email, and expedited service. We were actually pleased that the application was filed the next day.
  • BizFiling's Complete Package ($359 + state fees): All features of the previous plan plus compliance DVD, federal tax ID acquisition, state document copies, and swift delivery.

Registered Agent Services

Bizee serves as a registered agent for business owners, receiving necessary legal and tax paperwork and ensuring that businesses comply with state requirements. The service is included in their formation packages free for the first year and can be renewed for a fee of $119.

BizFilings offers registered agent service to receive important documents on behalf of your LLC. For $220, the service includes a compliance management tool, annual report and franchise tax filing alerts, and superior customer service.

Additional Services

Apart from their formation packages, both companies offer additional services necessary to manage and maintain your business.

1. DBA Registration

A client who wanted his LLC to operate under a different name availed of BizFilings' DBA service for a fee of $139. The package includes a name availability check, preparation and filing, and shipping of completed documents.

Bizee offers DBA registration for $99.

2. Business License Report

Bizee offers comprehensive permits and licensing report for $99, to help you determine which documents you need to operate your business legally.

BizFilings offer the same service for $99.

3. Virtual Address

With Bizee, we were able to avail of a virtual address package for $29. The service includes a virtual mailbox available to only 48 states and mail scanning of traditional correspondence, letters, and checks.

After consulting with BizFilings, Venture Smarter discovered that the company does not offer a virtual address service.

4. Certificate of Good Standing

You can request a Certificate of Good Standing with Bizee for $49 plus state fees. This way, you can prove to potential investors and clients that your business is compliant with the law and in good standing with the state.

BizFilings does not offer this service.

Bizee provides customer support via a web-base application form, phone, and live chat between 9 am to 6 pm CST, Monday to Friday.

Venture Smarter actually found it helpful that they offer an extensive knowledge base website featuring FAQs, guides, and informative articles to address common queries.

BizFilings offers phone and email support between 8 am to 7 pm during the weekdays.

The website also provides a resource center with guides, articles, and webinars to help entrepreneurs navigate the incorporation process.
